NFL Week 15 Injury Report & Updates

📅 December 12, 2025 ✍️ jmkuq 📂 Uncategorized
For quarterbacks, unfortunately Daniel Jones suffered a season-ending Achilles tear last week. In an attempt to salvage their season and playoff hopes, like something out of a movie script, the Colts decided to revive Philip Rivers from making more children and are likely having him start over Riley Leonard who sprained his PCL. Jayden Daniels re-tweaked his left elbow dislocation last week and has been ruled out for this game. The Jets quarterback situation is an absolute mess, similar to the franchise. Tyrod Taylor suffered a groin strain, Justin Fields has been dealing with knee issues and someone named Brady Cook played last week before suffering an ankle injury. It sounds like a Cook will be starting this week, as the Jets continue to tank. Speaking of tanking, Geno Smith suffered a shoulder and back injury, which is going to prevent him from playing in week 15, leading to Kenny Pickett starting for the Raiders. Justin Herbert managed quite well in a huge win in week 14 and should continue healing from his fractured left hand. He needs another week before taking snaps from center. Aaron Rodgers actually looked pretty good and should be even healthier this week with his left wrist fracture. Lamar Jackson continues to miss at least one practice per week, but will play. Trevor Lawrence is mildly banged up with an ankle injury, but should be able to push through, same goes for Patrick Mahomes with a knee injury. For running backs, De’Von Achane suffered a rib bruise/cartilage injury after landing on the ball. Very good chance he plays unrestricted on Monday night. Christian McCaffrey is a little under the weather with an illness, but should be good to go by Sunday. Bryce Hall is dealing with some minor knee issues, but I think he plays. The Houston Texans backfield is banged up, as Nick Chubb is dealing with a rib injury, likely a rib fracture and should be out this week. Woody Marks, dealing with a knee sprain of his own, is likely to serve as the lead back. Chris Rodriguez Jr. is trending in the right direction with his groin injury. For the Saints, it does not appear that Alvin Kamara is ready to return from his right MCL sprain in his knee, and Devin Neal has been trying his best, dealing with an abdominal injury this week. I think Kamara needs one more week. Tyrone Tracy got lucky with his hip injury, and will be splitting the backfield with Devin Singletary for the Giants. Josh Jacobs reaggravated his knee injury in week 14, and is reportedly dealing with swelling, which likely means either the PCL sprain is still bothering him or his meniscus is not happy. He underwent an MRI and is at risk for potentially missing week 15. Emanuel Wilson would immediately take over Bellcow duties, potentially with the help of Marshawn Lloyd, who has not played yet this season. Unfortunately, Trey Benson was not able to get healthy enough and was shut down for the rest of the season. Emari Demercado might be able to return this week from his high ankle sprain and will likely split with Michael Carter and Bam Knight. Omarion Hampton looked pretty good last week and should only get healthier, but I expect a RBCC with Vidal going forward. As for wide receivers, it appears that CeeDee Lamb, despite demonstrating posturing with his concussion, will clear the concussion protocol and should have no negative impact on his performance in week 15. Tee Higgins, who actually missed week 13 after suffering a concussion in week 12 managed to suffer another concussion in week 14 after self-reporting on Monday. He is actually looking pretty good and pushing to play in week 15 but it is unclear if the Bengals will allow him to do so. DK Metcalf suffered an abdominal injury while he was working as a gunner towards the end of last week‘s game. He reportedly had to go to the hospital that night, was eventually cleared and adamant about playing this week. Ladd McConkey has been banged up off and on all year and has disappointed for the most part. He is currently dealing with a mild midfoot sprain, but should play without restrictions. Alec Pierce is dealing with a rib injury but is like going to catch passes from Philip Rivers so I’m not sure if the arm strength is still there. Jordan Addison is dealing with an Achilles injury, likely tendinitis. Sometimes this can’t limit the upside of a player, but usually they power through. I expect Pat Bryant to miss week 15 with a hamstring injury turning the field back over to Troy Franklin.  We initially heard that Rome Odunze was dealing with a stress fracture in his foot, causing him to miss week 14. The weird thing is that he actually got in a limited practice yesterday and today. This tells me it’s more likely to be a stress reaction, than a true stress fracture. While I don’t have much faith in him, and would prefer Luther Burden, I still think there’s a decent chance he plays in week 15. Amon-Ra St. Brown went from concerns of missing last week’s game with a moderate lateral ankle sprain, to not even being on the injury report this week. Touchdown monster Davante Adams has been nursing a hamstring injury for the good part of three weeks now. His snaps were limited last week and he hasn’t practiced yet this week. With that being said I still think there’s a decent chance of playing in week 15.  Marvin Harrison Jr. is still not practicing with his heel injury, which may be more of a stress fracture than a simple bruise. In the games he’s missed, Michael Wilson looks like the second coming of Jerry Rice. I don’t care who’s guarding him, they are going to force feed him the ball, do not sit him. Jayden Reed should get healthier with each week as he works his way back from a broken clavicle and a Jones fracture. He has a high floor and should only have to compete with Christian Watson for volume. Unfortunately, Zach Ertz suffered a season-ending, and possibly career-ending ACL tear last week. Jake Ferguson appears to have tweaked his calf in week 14 he was listed as a limited practice on Wednesday, but was downgraded to a DNP today. He’s at risk for being severely limited or possibly missing week 15. Mark Andrews popped up with a glute injury today. These are usually more annoying than concerning. TJ Hockenson continues to be limited with a shin injury, but actually looked pretty good last week. David Njoku has been banged up for the good part of a month with a knee injury, but he’s been trying to power through. Fannin Jr. has looked like a much better receiving tight end on the team. Dalton Kincaid has struggled to stay healthy in 2025, but when he’s on the field, he is elite. Start him if he’s active. Hope this was helpful, and good luck in your first round of the playoffs
